TRYP Peninsula Varadero Cuba

We couldn't complain about a thing at the Tryp Peninsula Varadero Cuba its is truly a beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean with the mini fridge replenished every day with soft drinks, beer and water. The grounds are beautiful with daily attention from the gardeners and groundsmen. The beach is to die for and although we were warned to take insect repellent, I'm pleased to say it wasn't used and not a bite was had by either of us the whole holiday! Tip look out for the hidden hammocks on the pathway opposite the entrance to The Laguna restaurant, they are perfect for an afternoon nap! Facilities such as the jacuzzi, shooting range, outdoor activities etc in this hotel were well used but never too busy that we couldn't do what we wanted. The evening entertainment also didn't seem to be as cheesy as I've head of in other hotels with a large outdoor theatre and lots of the guests going from there either to chill out in the 24hr lobby bar or dancing in the club till 2.00 am. Most of the reviews are pretty accurate in realtion to food; some of it is great and some not so great. There is a good selection at all meal times with a choice of restaurants in the evening. In addition, the snack bar does the usual sandwiches, burgers, chips etc and between all the food venues and bars you can eat and drink 24 hrs a day! The buffet gets a bit repetative after a while but what hotel buffet doesn't?! All in all, we had a great relaxing holiday at the Tryp Peninsula Varadero and received special treatment as 'honeymooners' such as breakfast in our room on one morning of our choice. We would certainly recommend this hotel, our only gripe was that our stay wasn't long enough! :D :D :D :D :D
