Once we arrived to El Salvador, we had to take a 2 hour bus ride to the Decameron Salinitas. which in my mind was wonderful, we got to see all of the scenery that El Salvador could offer. We saw the Volcano's, the coffee plantations, the housing (poor as well as rich), and we got to see an areal view of San Salvador. Hotels grounds and facilities were very good, deserves the 4 star rating. Room was clean, large and comfortable. The pools are the best that I have seen in all of the hotels I've been, and we travel at least twice a year. There are many activities take place there: aquaerobics, volleyball, water polo, and some other games led by the animation team. The salt-water pool is a lot of fun when it gets over flooded by high tides but be careful those waves are tricky. Everything that I ate was very good, the buffet had different meals everyday for breakfast, dinner and supper. The Snack bar had the usual: hamburgers, hotdogs, fries (the best I ever had), BBQ ribs and BBQ chicken.Tried both restaurants, grill and seafood, and they were both excellent. They had a list of about 20 odd tours that one could take to visit all around the area. We took two and were very pleased and fortunate to see the beauty and not so beautiful poverty aeras in EL Salvador. One Couple, that have been doing the resort thing for about ten years now, said that this was one of the best resorts they have been to and will be very hard to beat the value. I definitely recommend this resort to anyone!! :D :D :D :D

we are booked for the end of march and have never been to this region/resort. we are trying to research what we can do while there besides soaking up the sun......was wondering if anyone has any comments about the massages provided at the resort. were they good/bad/worth trying?
