Once we landed in the Dominican Republic though, it was all smooth sailing. We flew through customs we were all amazed how soon we were on the bus to our resort. The Riu Bambu is about a half an hour away from the airport. The drive there is sobering because of the surrounding poverty The Riu Bambu Punta Cana is truly a nice place. This was my first visit & we loved it, there is not one complaint I could make about this the Riu Bambu. The food was fab, the staff were great & the hotel was clean & nothing was too much trouble for them. The entertainment was very funny & the staff worked from 9am until 12pm every day. There whole aim is to make sure that your holiday is a very happy one. The room itself was very beautiful,there is a balcony and it was very nice to sit out on the deck in the evening. If you like to drink, you would never have to leave your room there is an excellent selection of liquors and mixers. The food and Drinks. I loved the food and drinks if people complain about repetition they are doing something wrong. We had steaks, caviar, shrimp, roast turkey, tons of different pastas and sauces tons of beautiful desserts and fruits. Breakfast you could have your omelettes made for you. At night we went and watched the entertainment next door at the Riu Taino and Riu Naiboa we could have drinks and snacks at the sister properties. I like fact that could use the Riu Naiboa and Riu Taino resorts facilities, its like staying a 3 hotel at the same time. All in all no complaints it's a very good holiday!
