All rentals are based on a 24-hour schedule. (For example, for a 7-day rental, if you pick up your car at 11:00 am on day 1, it must be returned on or before 11:00 am on day 8).

Please note that if your return flight is leaving at a later time than the return time of your car, if there are any changes to your flight schedule, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred if you return your car later than the time of day at which you picked it up.

Auto insurance in the U.S.A.

If LDW is declined, renter is responsible to Hertz for any damage to the vehicle. Gold cards or insurance riders may reimburse you after the fact, but do not remove your responsibility. Third party liability insurance is for minimum coverage and is secondary to your own car insurance. Additional liability insurance is recommended if you do not own a car.
