My sister and I just got back Mon April 18th We had a wonderful time at Kawama. I must say though, they need to update their standard rooms. The 1st one we had was 28 and it was awful. They moved us to a better room. With all the people and money coming in there upgrading is needed. The grounds needed cleaning up also.
We met friendly, nice staff and tourists. It was 41 degrees and it was really hot. I heard Nov - March is better. Food, not great but edible.
Cuba is beautiful and we had such a good time on the catamarand, dolphins, snorkeling and a beautiful meal on this paradise island with white sand and spectacular beach. Great fun. The boat was rockin with all dancing and singing. Great memories.

Kawama is beautiful and the staff are fantastico! Remember when you were a kid on summer holidays, and you rolled outta bed and put on your cut offs and tshirt for the day, well you will get that feeling here. Do as little, or as much as you want. Clean rooms, decent food, it's al, good. Try club 62 in varadero for some excellent night life fun, well worth the 5 peso cab ride from kawama. I plan on going back in two months I loved it so much. Minimal bugs too I might add. Here I come Cuba!
